Open-ended stories aren't rare, but Limbo refuses to give you much evidence one way or the other; you're left to your own devices when it comes to figuring out what's going on, and one answer.. Both are taken to the Limbo, what some theologians consider to be the "edge of hell", a neither heaven nor hell kind of place. The sister is scared and runs away only to get lost. When the boy becomes conscious, he realizes his sister is gone, and goes out to search for her.

The end when gravity starts to shift the boy realizes that he is asleep allowing him to "change his dream". In the end he goes through the glass and wakes up where he started to find that his sister was just fine all along.. "The ending of 'Limbo' is a masterclass in ambiguity and restraint.
