Godzilla's Head is a statue resting on the Hotel Gracery's 8th floor in the Shinjuku Toho Building located in Kabukicho district in the west of Tokyo. It can be seen from the street or approached closer from the "Terrasse Bonjour" Café.. Godzilla, the best-known monster of Asian cinema, created in the 1950s in response to fears related to the two atomic bombings suffered by the peninsula, welcomes us from the top of this building in the heart of the Kabukicho district. The neighborhood is filled with brighter signs than each other, giving an ultra-trendy atmosphere.

Godzilla first came out in 1959 under Toho Co., Ltd. depicting a giant, destructive sea monster that was awakened by nuclear radiation from nuclear testing. It went on to make 32 more films under the same franchise and even holds the world record for the longest continuously running franchise film.. When Godzilla first appeared in Tokyo he was 164 feet tall, by 2014 he was 354 feet, but in Godzilla vs Kong he's 390 feet - considering Tokyo just opened an even taller building for him to tower over, he might get even bigger soon!
