I have the DW 290, its a great beater, nice size, but I did not like the green lettering on the watch so I took a piece of sandpaper and rubbed it down, now the watch has a matte finish. Someone did comment that it looked real cheap, but he does not even wear a watch. I like mine quite a bit, its light, can take a beating and inexpensive.. However, once the DW-290 is on the wrist it really comes into its own, the cheap rubber strap is extremely comfortable and despite its odd shape and dimensions it wears very well. In fact, I would go so far as to say it is probably my most comfortable Casio and the case shape is very ergonomically friendly with the pushers easily accessible.

Keep in mind tough that the DW-290 is not a G-Shock. It does not have the same bezel protection for the crystal and no omnidirectional shock protection that is the trade mark for G-Shocks. It is very durable tough and 200M WR, and was in the 1990's a popular alternative to a G-Shock because it was cheaper and one of the cheapest options to buy.. Casio DW-290 Review. Steve Papa .
