The problem is using a floor jack to lift at these points leaves no room to place a jack stand at the same point. I never trust the seals on a jack while I'm working on a car so I always use jack stands. I like to change my own brakes, rotate wheels and other minor stuff so I need to get at least 2 wheels off the ground at once using jack stands.. Hey guys, i was wondering where it would be safe to jack up my 2012Durango from to rotate tires and general maintenance. I would like to use the lift points that are shown in the owners manual to put my jack stands on. It looks like i could lift the front end by the subframe crossmember just in front of the oil pan were the skid plate is attached.
