Cold tire pressure was designed by engineers that know far more than we do about tire design, knowing full well that the tire warms up with use and that the cold pressure is based ON that fact, knowing it will exceed that pressure when the tire is hot. Do NOT measure tire pressures when hot and think they are too high.. You should always follow the manufacturer's recommended tire pressure found on a placard in your driver's side door jam. For a Challenger, you should be using 32 psi. Slightly more air pressure would be appropriate if you are carrying a heavy load. In any case, never exceed the maximum pressure cited on your tire's sidewall.
Maintaining tire pressure may seem like a low priority, but keeping the correct air pressure in your tires is an important part of vehicle maintenance. It helps in the following areas: · Safety · Optimizing tire performance · Improving fuel economy · Improving handling and performance while.. On my Super track pack with 5.7 and auto picked up from dealer and they were running 41 each tire, placard calls for 32 but I like to run a few extra lbs so what is best, I knocked it down from the 41 to 38 but thinking 35-36.
