Discover how ASUS Multi-Core Enhancement can boost your CPU's performance for gaming, video editing, and more. Learn how to enable it and what to watch out for.. What is ASUS MultiCore Enhancement? Is it different from Intel's factory auto-overclock (base + boost)? Should I disable it if I'm concerned about system stability?
MCE tries to make the P-Cores run at max turbo regardless of how many are loaded. For example, a 14900K has a 5.6Ghz max P-Core turbo, which gradually decreases as more cores are loaded. MCE would target 5.6GHz for all P-Cores, essentially an overclock. MCE also disables power limits.. In a nutshell, MCE is Asus' multicore-enhancement tool, and essentially raises the voltage of the CPU in order to retain higher clock speeds. The by-product of this is heat. I personally have MCE off as I have faith in my own voltage settings and would rather not have MCE pump more voltage into my CPU than it needs.
