What Is The Cool Down Timer 2 (CDT2)? Also known as a "Turbo Timer", the CDT2 is designed to keep the engine running when the ignition is turned to prevent turbocharger bearing failure that could occur when the engine is shut down and the turbocharger is still hot.. This is a typical wiring diagram which runs, in this case, a pump when the "key" or switched power is turned on. When the key is turned off the pump will run for the time set on the screwdriver adjustment on the turbo timer.
