the light comes on and can also be turned on by turning the knob on the headlight switch. If you connected it to the rear lighting the dome light would be on all the time the park or headlights were on.. Does anyone know which wire supplies the dome light circuit on a 2022 AT4X. GM has again neglected to put any floor lighting on these upscale trucks so I have to add my own.

Can't help much with the physical routing of the wires but power comes from the light switch as you mentioned, goes straight to the dome light, then it's grounded at the door switches. The power wire goes down to the floor, under the sill cover plate, and up the b-pillar to the dome light. The driver's side ground wire takes the same path..
