Steve, I just started with my Painless wiring today, and I was looking through the insruction book after reading your post. I don't know if you got the 18 circuit harness or not, but assuming you did, there's a diagram on page 23 (Fig 10-6) of the headlight switch and which wires go where.. Ok, first of all the headlight switch is unfused, instead it uses a fusible link. I see 1 or 2 choices here, replace the wiring with the correct wiring or try to use a 12 volt test light or voltmeter and start at the headlights and trace the color of the wires back to the switch.
