Nana has numerous original soundtracks with music from the live-action films and anime series. Much of the music for the anime was performed by Anna Tsuchiya and Olivia Lufkin.. The series centers on Nana Osaki and Nana Komatsu, two women who move to Tokyo at the age of 20, with the story focused on Nana O.'s pursuit for fame and Nana K.'s pursuit for romance, all while struggling to maintain their friendship.

Nana anime review — two women, one name, and a story about love, ambition, and growing apart. Why this shojo masterpiece by Ai Yazawa remains unmatched.. While the anime is partially themed rock, there's good use of other music genres too, some piano and jazz when the mood suits it. The sound design is great, thankfully there's no rock during serious scenes where the characters are emotional.
